School's Out!!!!

Last Friday Troy finished his second year in Podiatry school and now has a six week break until he start his third year. To celebrate we hit the greens! We had a beautiful day and a really fun time as a family.

Easter Day

I'm really behind with posting Easter pictures but here they are. The Easter Bunny found us and Landon had to take a double take as he walked to the table to breakfast. He quickly realized all that stuff was for him and went straight for the candy filled eggs. We thought it was funny he was in Halloween pj's. The Easter Bunny even left something for Troy and I even though we didn't leave out a basket! We had some friends over for dinner and I made my favorite carrot cake pictured below. Happy Easter!

Cherry Blossoms

A few weeks ago we went to see the Cherry Blossoms in Philadelphia. They are so pretty and a nice backdrop for some family pictures.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Troy's mom turns 60 on May 10th and since we won't be there to celebrate with her we did while she was here with us. We went to dinner and then had a little party at home with donuts for cake. We even colored Easter Eggs! Happy Birthday Grandma!

Mercer Museum

Here we are taking a picture with Mr. Mercer, the founder of the Mercer Museum. The museum is called a castle and has lots of old artifacts. We had a good time and really learned a lot.

Landon loves rocking horses. He was very appreciative of the children's room!

Easter Egg Hunt

Last Saturday we had our ward Easter Brunch with, of course, an egg hunt. We got all the way to the church and realized we forgot our camera and the Easter Basket I made. Troy's mom was in town that weekend and had her camera so we could make due without ours but when we realized we had no basket that I worked so hard to finish before the egg hunt, Troy came to the rescue and rushed home to get it. We had so much fun collecting eggs and watching Landon figure it out.

Troy's White Coat Ceremony

Last Friday Troy had his White Coat Ceremony held at this Quaker Church. The ceremony is a rite of passage symbolizing the end of the bookwork and the beginning of his work in the clinic. It was much like a graduation ceremony. The professors and students marched in, there were speakers, the students were called to the front to be pinned, and then they recited the oath in unison. We ended up with a beautiful day after one huge rain storm and were so glad we could take pictures outside by the blossoms. Troy's mom flew in from Denver for the weekend so it was nice for her to be there as well. It was such a highlight, milestone day in his schooling. I'm so proud of him for doing well in school while always keeping Landon and I first priority. Doesn't he look hot in his white coat?

We sat in the first row after the reserved section for students and because Troy was with the "W's" he ended up sitting right in front of us!

We celebrated at The Cheesecake Factory!

Easter Basket

I just have to show off this cute Easter Basket that I made this week. My friend, Mindy, helped me make it and it was so fun to make, I think it turned out so cute!
